The Art of Public Transport
This year, HANNING & KAHL participated in the UITP along with Verkehrsautomatisierung Berlin and their representative in Sweden and Norway. Together, we showcased our activities in rail-based public transport with which we help shape the mobility of the future.
This year’s international UITP congress for public transport took place from 9 to 12 June. It is a globally unique platform for all PT experts and simultaneously a summit and an exhibition with a mixture of speeches, displays and presentations of the latest innovations, solutions and products in the PT sector. The UITP congress was attended by 350 exhibitors and over 15,000 participants.
The theme of this year’s UITP was “The Art of Public Transport”. According to the UITP, art can take on many forms and find expression in many shapes, colours, sounds and movements. Thus, the perfect and comfortable PT experience is also a form of art. Everyone working in PT, from passenger to driver, planner, operator and manager, is part of a major artwork. “Mobility artists” are at work in all areas of public transport, and they shape the mobility of the future.
