Brake System Variants for 100 % Low-Floor Vehicles, Example 2
The vehicle consists of 5 car bodies which rest on two motor and one trailer bogie.
The motor bogies are equipped with two longitudinal drives each with a spring-applied actuator HYS 101 which is positioned between the motor and a gear box. The two spring-applied actuators are step controlled via a hydraulic power unit HZY-K100-DP which triggers the train controller (E-supplier) via the brake HEY-C brake control unit. A pressure sensor in the hydraulic power unit reports the pressure in the service circuit. The positioning of the spring-applied actuators towards the outside of the vehicle facilitates simple, manual adjustment of brake pad wear without the need for a mechanical slack adjuster.
In the trailer bogie, each idle wheel is braked by an active brake caliper HYA 26/50. The four brake calipers are controlled by a hydraulic power unit HZYK100- AP with external pressure accumulator. In interaction with 4 speed sensors, the brake control unit provides the necessary wheel-slide protection. Two track brakes HS 70 per bogie, each with an adhesive force of 70 kN, ensure even greater deceleration should emergency braking become necessary.
