Electric point machines H715 for heavy rail application - Basic

To commission, inspect and repair point machines, transport authority staff need in-depth knowledge of the point machines deployed.

The H715 point machine has been designed for deployment together with an external locking system in flat-bottom points on mainline railways. The H715 point machine is also used in this form for tram applications.

In the theoretical part of the HANNING & KAHL workshop, participants learn about the construction and application of point machine H715; the function of the individual components and the safety requirements are also explained. Maintenance and inspection call for assessment of the point machines. Workshop participants learn what to pay particular attention to.

In the hands-on part of this basic workshop, we demonstrate mounting and setting work on a point machine which is installed in a flat-bottom tongue device in our training centre.

Safety footwear must be worn when performing setting work on the point machine. Please bring your safety footwear with you
