Electric point machines HW(E)61/61.1 - Intensive

To be able to perform commissioning, regular inspection and repair work, transport authority staff need sound knowledge of the point machines installed.

Participants are first given a theoretical overview of the set-up and application area of the different drive variants of the point machines HW(E)61/61.1; the function of the individual sub-assemblies and the safety requirements are explained.

Maintenance work and inspection per BO Strab call for assessment of the point machines. Participants are informed what to look out for.

On the first day of this intensive workshop, in the hands-on part, the necessary assembly and setting work is demonstrated on a point machine installed in a tongue device. A flat-bottom/grooved rail tongue device is available in our training centre for the purpose. On day two, all participants have the opportunity to carry out the setting work alone. Typical errors/faults and repairs are discussed and adjusted. Particular emphasis is placed on repair work.

Protective footwear must be worn when doing setting /adjusting work. Please bring your protective footwear with you.

Day one of this intensive workshop is the same as the basic workshop. Intensive workshops are particularly suitable for participants who wish to acquire detailed knowledge of installation, operation and trouble-shooting / fault clearance of point machines HW(E)61/61.1.
