As a specialist for public transport, VAB supports transport providers and associations in the design and implementation of efficient operational processes, enabling them to offer reliable local transport and to advance digitalisation in these fields.

VAB presented new and improved solutions in all product areas.
In line with the turnaround from diesel to electric buses, the newly launched VABevSuite makes a significant contribution to reducing CO2 emissions and helps to meet the Paris climate targets. The various software modules offer dynamic status visualisation of the charging infrastructure, the vehicles and their charging level, as well as the planning and monitoring of the charging processes of electric buses.

Apart from daily processes in the depot, such as vehicle cleaning, a second focus of VABdepot was the presentation of various mobile applications which assist transport providers with digital workflows.

A completely multimodal ITCS control centre for transport operations was demonstrated with VABnet. With the option of acquiring all control centre and vehicle equipment components from one single source, or using the air interface available as a quasi-industry standard, dispatch and driving staff are efficiently supported, passengers informed, travel chains secured, and demand-oriented transport is made possible.

To assist companies with condition-based and predictive maintenance, but in particular with regard to improved and more precise tracking procedures with a view to autonomous driving, VAB presented the next generation of onboard units and locating tags. Thanks to a multitude of interfaces, a significantly greater data quantity can be made available for evaluation and quality assurance in the future.

Supported by parent company HANNING & KAHL (Oerlinghausen), VAB presented a range of tools developed in close cooperation with HANNING & KAHL, which assist transport operators on the tram depot and on the tracks with regard to automation, vehicle detection and tracking, as well as online monitoring of the infrastructure. Under the product name VABtrack, a modular software suite is available to companies to improve their processes and increase efficiency.

The VABcon product range presented a greatly improved collaborative solution for partner authorities and transport companies for ticket processing in exempted school transport. With the ABO-B online and ABO-VU online modules, VAB offers internet-based portal access for pupils and parents for application and status tracking. This gives authorities and transport companies, especially in rural areas, an efficient SmartCity solution, which significantly increases the quality of information and makes life easier for education-authority staff. ABO-VU can do more, however. Transport companies can also use it for season ticket sales.

Our sales department will be happy to assist you if you are interested in our solutions! We look forward to hearing from you.
