BrakeMaster - The new Hydraulic Brake System

The new brake is based on a modular, generic system approach, with the mechanical and electronic components being developed together from the outset. This approach results in optimally coordinated interfaces, a future-proof architecture and global applicability, while ensuring long-term product availability for up to 30 years.

The system comprises three central subsystems: the control unit serving as the electrical vehicle interface, the hydraulic unit generating the brake pressure, and the brake caliper converting it into mechanical braking torque.

Development follows the V-model, taking into account current standards as well as the “Safety & Security by Design” principle. The system supports safety functions up to SIL 2, provides protection against tampering and incorrect wiring, and is designed to meet the requirements of the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA).

BrakeMaster is suitable for global use, safe and easy to maintain. Digital connectivity enables planned maintenance and high system availability.
