All safety-relevant processor systems from cxy and decentral controllers of third-party providers are ConnAct® compatible. They are integrated into the process network via a ConnAct® Gateway of type HLUmulti (Hanning Local Unit).  Wireless, VPN-encrypted data transmission is also possible via the HLUmulti.

The HLUmulti is now part of the standard scope of supply and can also be easily retrofitted on existing units.

ConnAct® Gateway HLUmulti

The server components consist of services, applications and a database which are installed centrally on a server.

The central communication server forms the interface between field level and management level. It operates with the Windows OOServer which is deployed in all ConnAct® product variants apart from ConnAct® – Service Laptop. Its main functions are:

• monitoring of connections to the controllers, protocolling of failures and automatic reconnection
• protocolling of incoming process data in case of change
• interface for ConnAct® Clients and external systems
• safeguarding of exclusive operation
• protocolling of all commands and acknowledgments
• straightforward user administration

The Application Server provides the central ConnAct® application logic and requires the database. It is necessary for the Map, Report, and Administration modules and for vehicle display in the O&O module (Operate and Observe).
