Control unit of the ECU series
Intelligent control unit for sustainable mobility
The new modular control unit of the ECU series represents the next generation and will gradually replace the existing HEYxPxG and HEY-C controllers. Supplied as a pre-assembled unit on a base plate, it simplifies procurement, integration and commissioning.
The flexible modular system enables adaptation to different vehicle architectures and installation spaces. The system supports Ethernet, CAN and MVB vehicle buses as well as conventional hard-wired systems. A decentralised placement of the modules is also possible and reduces the need for hard-wired connections.
The integrated web interface enables rapid access without additional software. Role-based user permissions, two-factor authentication and logging fulfil current security requirements.
Innovative features of the control unit of the ECU series
- Modular design: high flexibility in terms of installation space, electrical interfaces, and easy adaptation to future market requirements.
- Wide nominal voltage range: 24–110 V DC voltage range for worldwide use without additional modifications.
- Variable power ratings: integrated, variable-output power supply reduces dependence on external power sources and supports future system expansions.
- Web interface: direct browser access, no software installation required.
- Two Ethernet interfaces: supports integration into modern, segmented and secure networks, with optional remote access via ConnAct®.
- 16 GB data storage: long-term diagnostics and logging of safety-critical events.
- Acceleration sensor technology: improved acceleration and rotation measurement, more precise braking distance calculation and wheel slide protection without external systems.
- Temperature sensor: monitoring of the specified operating temperature range.
- Universal power output: supports the intelligent control of a wide range of loads, reduces heat generation and enables the use of smaller valves in the HCU.
- Universal power output: supports the intelligent control of a wide range of loads, reduces thermal emissions and allows the use of smaller valves in the HCU
- Multifunctional digital inputs: configurable as pulse sensors with standstill voltage or as analogue inputs for increased flexibility.
- Standstill voltage evaluation: precise standstill detection using dedicated pulse sensors.
