Certification successfully completed for 2024.

The current ISO45001 occupational safety audit completes company certification for 2024. HANNING & KAHL has also been successfully re-certified in accordance with ISOTS22163 and ISO9001.

External certification and audits have always been important for HANNING & KAHL and have a long tradition. It is particularly worth mentioning that when implementing all applied management norms (e.g. ISOTS22163), all technical operating divisions and all corporate functions are always involved. This distinguishes HANNING & KAHL from many other companies who decide to only have certain areas certified.

Many new aspects of the continual improvement process (CIP) were successfully presented in 2024, including new modules such as shop-floor management, extension and further development of the SAP system, as well as new technical developments in the operating divisions.  Application of the certified management norms for the entire company is also closely interlinked with the implementation of the applicable standards for safety-related rail applications.

With certification for compliance with the above-mentioned norms, HANNING & KAHL also lays great store by involving many staff members in auditing processes. In addition to preparation and support by the appointed QM team, staff present their work and the implementation of normative specifications to the auditors themselves. During preparation and later in the performance phase, it becomes clear that the all-inclusive approach required by the norms is well implemented by such a team effort.

Certification upcoming in 2025 will have a new module which we are already working on in full swing. Our American subsidiary, the HANNING & KAHL L.P., will be included in the management system per ISOTS22163 and is to be successfully certified. This would mean that after passing the audit, our American location would be one of only 12 companies in the USA to be inspected and certified for compliance with the highest rail standard ISOTS22163.
