New Year 2026 – What are the prospects?

Dear Readers,

2026 is already in full swing – and HANNING & KAHL can look back on an eventful and successful 2025. Meanwhile the world situation remains fragile. Whether Ukraine, Taiwan or Greenland – we hope all the more that all parties involved continue to act responsibly with sound judgement and prudence.

But let’s look at what we can actively do ourselves: with an attractive market environment with exciting projects, customers, with whom we greatly enjoy working, and product innovations which we will launch in the course of 2026.

The year 2025 was marked by a variety of challenges which gave us valuable impetus for our further development. In 2026, we are concentrating on delivery reliability and quality. We are working on consistently expanding our high standards with clearly defined goals and strategic improvement initiatives.

Our order books are well-filled with interesting projects all over the world. In our Infrastructure Division and also in our Rolling Stock Division, we are profiting from the sustained boom in rail-based public transport, vehicle fleet modernisation and the associated renewal and expansion of infrastructure.  Implementation takes place – as always – in close and trusting cooperation with our customers, which makes every project twice as exciting.

And now we come to the new products which we wish to present this year. We do not wish to give too much away yet – because we would like to surprise you at InnoTrans. But what we can tell you is: our stand will be well worth a visit.

Best wishes from Oerlinghausen

Christian Schmidt
Managing Director
